• Pak loses host status: Pakistan has lost its status as a host for World Cup cricket to be held in 2011. This reasons cited for this decision is of course the uncertain political situation and Taliban invasion.
  

• India gets Lion's share in WC 2011: India gets amajor share in the hosting of ICC World cup 2011 as all matches to be held in Pakistan has been distributed amongst other venues in the subcontinent and India has the largest number of venues in the region. Given these, this does not come as a surprise and was expected. After all its the matter of money because of the multi billion cricket 'industry' in India.
